jjbsk8r Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I am looking for a good budget amp with about 4000 to 5000 watts. I have been looking at the Boss PH4000D and the PH5000D. Does anyone know anything about these amps? I have had a Boss amp before but it was an A/B amp so I don't really know anything about their more powerful amps.

What are your subs, that will help us find you a good budget on a amp. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

MACnonsence6 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 boss amps doing 4k look at the fuses lol bet there tiny good budget amps are audiopipe and was mentioned before hifonics just a thought my first amp was a pyle 3000 watt amp cost me 150 had 2 25amp fuses book said it did 300 rms at 2ohms x 2 bridged did like 400 or something nothing special. an ap1500 cost 150 shipped on ebay and does 1500 rms @1 ohm real power food for thought? I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

I have been looking at the Hifonic HFi series amps. I would love to be under two hundred dollars but I could go higher. I just can't get into the 400 and 500 dollar range.

This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. I had two CVR 12's and a Crossfire VR1000D in an S-10. I have sold everything and getting ready to start the next chapter. No bullshit, just fact finding. Thank you for your information abou the HFi though.
