D-train-13k
seems like it would be worth dumping that extra dollar into the big 3 considering it would keep my car safe. But as for amp wires would i be okay running 4 gauge to the aq1200 and the aq4x90, or would i be experiencing major voltage drops and things like this? i would do 1/0 to the 1200. but to the 4x90 it should be fine with 4g. make sure you do the big three in 1/0 as well as wiring everything else in 1/0 The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/
jreese92
i don't understand how to calculate the volume of 4th orders, if i want to build a 2 cubic foot box ported. What does this mean as far as a 4th order? D-train-13k
hahaha okay. well doing a .75 sealed and a 1.5 on the ported side tuned to 50hz would be LOUD Edit: using a round port would be alot easier to tune so start real low like 48hz then chop off port until you find the spot you like the most. jreese92
50 hz is really high everyone else has been recommending 35 and under? D-train-13k
on bandpass designs the tuning is alot higher. if you were to tune the box to 35 on a BP design you wouldnt hear much bass at all. 48 hz on a BP design is like tuning a ported box to 28hz. it plays real low. but it is very efficient The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/
jreese92
I noticed on your signature that you have a bandpass box in progress, what are you tuning to?
