I have a single 18" PSI done up from dave @ fixmyspeaker. He says it'll do 1600RMS daily and probably 2kw in short periods. I play to run about 1500RMS to it. MY current enclosure is junk and doesnt hit lows my old enclosure was junk but didnt hit lows period. I want LOWS dammit ha So I've come up with a slot port design on the passanger side similar to my first design.

Revc = 3.1157 ohms

Fms = 22.1886 Hz

Zmax = 29.4964 ohms

Qes = 0.5296

Qms = 4.4843

Qts = 0.4737

Le = 3.5576 mH (at 1 kHz)

Diam = 393.7000 mm ( 15.5000 in )

Sd =121736.4743 mm^2(188.6919 in^2)

Vas = 232.4022 L ( 8.2072 ft^3)

BL = 19.5513 N/A

Mms = 466.0655 g

Cms = 110.3911 uM/N

Kms = 9058.6992 N/M

Rms = 14.4899 R mechanical

Efficiency = 0.4504 %

Sensitivity= 88.5543 dB @1W/1m

Sensitivity= 92.6497 dB @2.83Vrms/1m

Judging by T/S specs this thing is a LOWS monster anywhere between 30-32hz is what i've heard. and can take anywhere between 5cft to 7cft. Well since im running a little less than full power to the thing and going low with less than adequate electrical I want to be safe and still hit lows!!!

So to get to it my box design is a slot port L bend with the subwoofer on the drivers side and port on passanger side subwoofer upwards port back.

Let me know what you think any criticism? port too big? box too big? too small? Let me know should I go 1hz higher in tuning? I wanted like 32 but I figured between 30-32 would be the best. Since I'm running 1500RMS and the sub does 1600daily should it be smaller? 5cft. or bigger? 6-7cft? Also I kept port 5" width the whole way even the bend is exactly 5" ill maybe put a 45 at the corner to help air flow but we'll see how it sounds. it will be double baffled as well.

Im not the greatest at enclosures and this being my 3rd one to build this year I dont want to be unhappy, I could give a shit less about TL#'s I just want people to know what an 18" low feels like lol, I want people to hear it.

anyone? haha I know I ask this question a lot but I spend anywhere between 70-100$ on my boxes and ive built 2 failures already thats $200 down the drain THIS YEAR I dont want another bad product, not to mention I only have so much access time to the shop to cut wood and assemble so when I work on the box its few in time between working out, work, girlfriend its like my guy time.

Will that be TOO low? are you going by T/S specifications? I want to hit SOME highs haha I want some variation, will 28hz hurt? and hit good? on a single 18" @ 1500RMS?

With a fs of 22hz, you're going to get a big peak tuning 10hz above it. I'd personally run it with a very low tuning, but you can get a lot of output by tuning at 32hz or something like that. It's actually better suited as a HT sub with it's high Vas and low fs.
