JMac91
its not really right. here i didnt even see that he was missing the fuse before the back battery in his pic. shouldnt he put one before the battery in the alt to battery wire also? Yeah thanks for all the replies took a few days i got worried And HOOAH!! to osama bin ladens death. But I wasnt sure about the fuse, and running another wire to the back isnt really an option, I have no room up front on my terminal to run another off my neg, so I was hoping something like this would work, I read it can but.. its not the same but itll work?.. And I wasnt sure about the second fuse, after reading different opinions on that, do u think its necessary? I got a couple extra fuse blocks sittin right next to me so its fine but, I didnt fuse my alt either which.. idk its not a high output alt or anything just stock. But the ground in the back to the bat neg, then neg to my amp neg is more ideal? Thats cool one less wire in the way. Funny thing is.. I hooked my sub up today.. because my box is almost done, I just need to paint it And there wasnt any voltage drops (when I was poundin pretty hard) at all on my gauge.. but.. im gonna put my volt meter in tomorrow cuz I dont believe it, this sub was alot louder than my last 2. And my explorer battery was randomly dead yesterday mornin.. idk if a light was on or what, theres no battery drain and it started fine today so.. Apparently there was but im almost positive nothing was turned/left on. Still gonna get another battery tho, she deserves it And now im gonna check your guys links, thanks. dont forget that other fuse, here is my guide for doing this, follow it Dereileaks Wiring Guide Link Hey I already checked ur link before I posted this. I voted yes, did a search before I made this topic, thanks man. Paint diagram. Win. I have nothing to say so i'll just post a reply to raise my post count... The amp you have won't put out 2500w at 2 ohm... Audioque will put out more power at 1 ohm. Yeah I realize this.. but its pretty damn close, honestly.. weather or not what everyone says, im gonna test her tomorrow. And an AQ was a consideration AFTER the battery tho, there isnt a person on this forum that hasnt reccomended me to an aq2200d lol. So thatll be later, but for now I have no problems. Gas prices are kickin my ass too much lately.. and my vehicle.. bad combo. And thanks, I dont see whats wrong with paint.. Described it alot easier.. lol Edited May 2, 2011 by JMac91 Quote Vehicle: 2002 Volvo S60 2.4t awd.Headunit: Kenwood DDX-470Doors: 4x Focal 6.5s/tweets (Adding)Sub: 2x Sundown Zv4 12's D1Amps: B2 Zero.1, MB Quart OA600.4Box: 5.2ish @ 32, Made with Maple, solid oak braces, 45s all around, 2x 5.8" pipes, all fiberglassed up.Battery: XS D3100, Block Shakers 110AHAlternator: 250A Excessive Amperage. Now its slim to none? wtf.. Would a battery still help?.. idk what itd help other than future problems, and making sure my up front battery lasts as long as it should. xstingstreetx87
I know what your all thinking.. im a fucking artist. I get that alot. But thanks in advance. This is the way it should be done, with a additional fuse at the + rear battery. They do not need to be charged when put in technically, but I would suggest charging the batteries about 4 times a year-ish. The best charger you can get is a CTEK CLICK HERE. To make it easy to know when your batteries need to be charged and for ease of access you can get this INDICATOR PANEL. I personally have both of these and love em!
