Hey guys,

I'm looking for advice. I'd like to do a decent door build for my front stage and I can't figure out how to power everything.

I want two mids/highs, plus one mid-bass in each door. I'd stick two component systems in each door (just two doors, it's a coupe),

and one shallow sub in each door. The thing is I also want to keep my rear speakers (two 6x9s).

So I could easily run the front doors with 2 amps, one for the lows, and one for the mids/highs. Then I would need another 2 channel

amp for the rear speakers? Is there any way I could power the front mids/highs and the rear mids/highs on one 4 channel amp.

The power would need to be split up like this: 180Wx2 front PLUS 110Wx2 rear. <<< I want that power from one 4 channel amp. HOW? :ughdunno:

All the speakers have the same Ωload.

Any advice you guys can give me would be great. I'm pretty stumped. Hopefully the solution is obvious to one of you.

Thanks,

TheBetterMethod

Solution 1: (1) 4-channel amplifier that outputs about 200 watts per channel, and dial the gains back on the speakers that take 110w.

Soultion 2: (2) 2-channel amplifiers, one that does 200w/channel at the rated load, and the other that does about 100-120w/channel.

Basically it's what you can find within your budget. You'll be okay overpowering speakers as long as it's not gobs of power more. Perhaps give us a budget and we can help you :drinks:

JL 450/4 and a crossover for the front, run the woofers in the doors bridged for the amp inputs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I especially like the JL 450/4 suggestion from you, AMI CUSTOMS. It would be great if the amp didn't cost $700.

As far as budget though. I'm not real tight on cash. I would like to best bang for the buck though. Maybe running three 2 channel amps,

or running a 2ch. and a 4ch. half bridged would work out better.

Anyway thanks for the suggestions, and any more input I can get from anyone would be great too.

Thanks,

Since it is a discontinued amp, it is alot cheaper now, you can find them for around 350, just google and you will see.
