Friends Blow Through

but anyway, my friend picked up a 95 chevy stepside.

that had a blow through done.

4 alpine type r 12's, run off 2 fosgate amps.

he came over to show me the truck and the system.

he cranked it up, sounded ok then started sounding like shit.

who ever built the enclosure didnt treat the wood and there was no tonneu cover

either. so with the rain and snow leaked into the enclosure and did this.

i like how the previous owner tried to silicone the cones.

wow..looks like its gonna turn out nice but i think your friend needs some new subs. the silicone on the surround and the corossion on the terminals dont look too good

i told him we need to rip it out and start over. the cones are seperated from the surrounds.

so he needs to find new subs, and make the new enclosure to withstand the elements.

he doesnt want a tonneu cover.
