06' Mazda3 Hatchback - 4500RMS - New Springs (No More Sag)

BIG UPDATE FROM ALL OF THE SUMMER AND FALL WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Well I cracked the Transmission case back in may, so I had to get a new tranny, the mount went out and put pressure in one bad spot, while I had the tranny off I did a new clutch, flywheel, bearings inside and some other gasket stuff, im also updating the slave cylinder, all the hydralic clutch lines, master cylinder, thermost, new belt tensioner, gates green back belt, did a balance shaft delete mod, all new performance motor mounts.

The engine is stiff as a mofo no but it vibrates the cabin a lot, but its worth it :D

IMAG2957.jpg

IMAG2960.jpg

IMAG2970.jpg

Did some mods to put the d3100 upfront now, looks way better! :D

IMAG2985.jpg

There is the balance shaft which I removed, takes out 4 lbs of rotational mass and like 18 lbs total that cover up one of the cylinders

IMAG2988.jpg

IMAG2989.jpg

The James Barone Side motor mount, its very high quality and stiff as hell

Blew both my Sa's after pushing the shit out of them, was clipping a little since I accidentally had the bass boost on on my 3 way crossover when I was at a sound competition, left it on by accident and clipped them bad, so I am running 2 omega 12's that a friend is borrowing me, they weigh about 56lbs each ha ha

This picture is from julyish

IMAG3232.jpg

Ran 3 runs of 2/0 gauge power wire under the passenger side

IMAG3270.jpg

Mazda's are so easy to work on and I found a huge grommet perfect to pass the 3 runs through

IMAG3272.jpg

IMAG3274.jpg

IMAG3275.jpg

Was trying to think of how to lay the amps in the tire rack, i figure out the best option in some later pics, you will see :D

Nice tight mounting space for the d3400, doesnt move at all

IMAG3526.jpg

IMAG3527.jpg

IMAG3529.jpg

Nice finish on all the speaker wire :D

IMAG3537.jpg

IMAG3538.jpg

IMAG3540.jpg

Went with all copper lugs from del city this time

IMAG3543.jpg

IMAG3545.jpg

All the mounting bolts used to go down and have excess under the car, now I did them from the underside up, and all to perfect length, so under the car they are only the heads of the bolts, and they are all sealed with silcone, so no leaking, unlike before :D much cleaner

The Top piece to go over everything and give the back a false floor

IMAG3812.jpg

I opted for birch cause its lighter, doesnt crumble went it gets wet and its nice and stiff, at least for the amp rack, the box is gonna be mdf most likely still

IMAG3813.jpg

Eventually I will do dual wire to each battery post, this was just for now

IMAG3814.jpg

And now with the top piece on, I have more room then how they setup the car stock, I gained about 4 inches of depth, and have all my amps, (besides the sub amp) and a battery in the rear :D

IMAG3815.jpg

IMAG3879.jpg

Recone parts for the sa's, have had them for like 3 months now, I just need to do it, ha ha

IMAG3896.jpg

Testing the fan idea out, worked great, so cleaned it up here next

Finished at least mechanically, they stay really cool now, that middle fan does over 150 cubic feet per minute with a high static pressure

IMAG3908.jpg

IMAG3911.jpg

Cleaned up a lot of the wiring so its tidy and not going to get caught in the fans, lol

IMAG3913.jpg

I have some new custom springs on order to hold 450lbs extra then stock so my ride will sit level ha ha

This sa had one of the tinsel leads going to one of the wires burnout, so I put the other 2 ohm VC on my amp, and was sending around 2500 rms freeair to it, it took awhile to burn it out, but it finally went, was a lot of fun and around 30 minutes of messing around with it before it blew

IMAG2758.jpg

STILL TO DO

All the Cosmetics for the amp rack and rest of the car (wrapping viynl and fur :D)

finish deadening the inside panels of 3 of the doors, the external deadending is all done

New box for the sa's

figure out where to put the zx2500.1

find a spot for the intellecharger, thinking the same as before in that side panel

Fix the broken hatch lock from all the bass

re weild the roof mounts in the front, broke some of the factory mounts in the roof and its causing a lot of vibration when going full tilt, lol

get the scratch off my hood from a chick keying me and my friends car, lol

Get the new springs installed

Wrapping all the engine bay wiring in some nice stuff, you will see, doing it this weekend

Enjoy, thanks for looking, im still working on this baby, will be done next summer I hope, then to take to some shows :D

Changed out my master and slave cylinder, lets just say it was a pain in the ass but totally worth it, no more sticking

IMAG4169.jpg

Did some cable sleeving of all the power wire, looks even better in person

IMAG4177.jpg

IMAG4181.jpg

Stock spring on the left, new spring on the right

IMAG4223.jpg

HID Clean Cut off, doesnt show the nice blue line very well, need to see it in person :D

IMAG4272.jpg

So this is my horrible sag before, having all the weight in the back has made the car sink very badly

IMAG4274.jpg

IMAG4275.jpg

IMAG4276.jpg

IMAG4278.jpg

Removed the tires to get the new springs in

IMAG4279.jpg

IMAG4280.jpg

IMAG4281.jpg

Old Stock on the left, New stock in the middle, and new custom spring on the right

IMAG4282.jpg

Stock spring on the left, new spring on the right

IMAG4284.jpg

So I still have more weight to add, part of why it sits so high up, it will drop about 1 more inch when I get the rest of the batteries and the new box done, I could stick a hitch on it now if I wanted :D but it rides so much better, no more harshness, I can corner better, cause it has distributed the weight much better

IMAG4287.jpg

IMAG4291.jpg

Kind of has an suv look to it now, or a sports wagon, I like it, the winter tires on it now are a bit small too, the summer tires are the correct size and fill in the wheel gap better, so it will give it a nice look once summer rolls around, now to get more batteries :D

Well my mechman alt failed for the second time, I am looking to have Singer build me an alt, apparently mechman uses aluminum pulleys which if they get too hot they will wear the grooves weird and cause bad belt slip, which I am getting. The voltage regulator failed, I was already having horrible voltage spikes with it, and it melted part of the plastics around the + stud. I am moving to a new company, I can never get mechman to answer my emails and they have not been any help over the phone.
