ha ha, no problem, you may want to go a little bigger on the box, maybe .5 cubes, but with your amp you probably wont need to do that, I I think if the box was 3.75 with that amps we have it would be even better, I have to take care of some voltage drop so I can get more power to them I cant complain though, I demoed to like 7 people today, they were all pretty blown away, ha ha

I have one of my SA-12's now putting my old Type R alpine to shame, outshining its own box built to alpine specs. Hits lower and with more authority. I'm needing dynamat something bad now. Also, I'm curious how low your voltage is dropping with your Mechman and XS batts?

well I have an issue with my cars ECU which only allows to push stock amperage through the stock wire regardless of what wire I added for my big 3, so I am doing 80 amps through the stock wire, 80 through the 1/0 I added, so 160 amps total, and around 80 amps stock which is 40 each wire, around stock output, so im getting double but nowhere near the rated for the alt, voltage drops the 12's someimtes high 11's, but thats cause its so cold, on some songs the low 11's, once it warms up it gets more stable, but I am going to run 3 more lines back, 1 from the neg terminal of the front battery to the rear, then a + and - from the alt to the rear battery, of 2/0 gauge wielding cable, that should help, and im going to investigate the reason my alt isnt doing rate :/, the baffle on my box is a little rediculous too, 2 pieces is more then enough, I would maybe redesign the port too, I wanna do aero ports, will probably on a summer box build, but im very happy with this box overall, they output a hella lot, ha ha, and we clamped box rise at 40 hz, they were seing about 650 watts rms each, cause rise was up to 4.4 ohms

Also I can flex the shit out of my hatch on the low notes down in the 20 hz, I want to build a reflective pieces that covers the hatch and back window to reflect bass, and move it forward instead of losing it in the back hatch

Im in an almost identical car (different year and white). It will be interesting to watch how you work around this. I'm running a 200amp alt right now with 0/1 big 3 and a run of 0/1 to my trunk batt. So your saying adding another run could double the current to the amps?

my alt is only doing 70 amps at idle and 160 max which kinda pisses me off, voltage drop to the high 11's on full tilt, down a few in volume it holds at 13-14vs, idk what the issue is, just redid one of the frame grounds and it didnt fix it really

Thanks man I love this box, I would like to do a port with no bends, but it seems to work well, I would maybe go bigger on the box, but once I get my voltage issues with my mechman alt fiqured out I should be doing fine, that amp really pushes them in that box, box rise is going up to around 4.5 ohms in that box, so rising up 2.5 ohms, I want to wire at .5 ohms, so I get 3 ohms when I do comps and that, then the amp will be pushing around 2100 rms to em, right now they are seeing around 1400-1600 rms which we calculated out, we clamped it

Hey whats good Fam, I built the box this last weekend and daaamn. I just got my gains reset today and these sa-12's are knockin something serious now. The box was not that easy to build for me (having little experience). That tripple baffle destroyed my jig saw, I heard a pop and ball bearings started flying out of if and grease running down the blade, but I finished anyways with the saw making horrible noises. Just want to say thank you for those design plans, everything fits perfect and looks dope. Let me know if you want to see a pic of the thing installed, I love it so far. Think im gonna go on a drive now.

I've noticed that the sub sitting above the port in my box is bottoming out at high volume, ive turned up my subsonic filter, but still cant go full tilt on some music without the slappy tick noise. What is your experience here?
