For a mid-size 4 door sedan, how many feet would you recommend I use for the flooring? Also what would you recommend to fill in the door panels with? Will Polyfill work? Second Skin Rep Jon Posted May 4, 2011 Report Share Posted May 4, 2011 To completely cover the floor of a typical 4 door sedan, you need approximately 36 sq. ft. (four sheets). Unlike CLD mats which require as little as 25% coverage, MLV products should completely cover the entire surface to create one continuous and impenetrable layer. I'm looking to create the best enclosure for components. I'm just doing all the work now before I get my equipment on the doors. Some people go as far as installing panels made from aluminum flashing, MDF, or other hard materials and screwing them onto the door and sound deadening over them. Thats what I did...
