Coil configuration questions

coil configuration is just resistance of the sub. you get which coil config depending what amp you have and how much power you intend on giving it. asumming you want to give btl that 3200 watts(which is at 1ohm) you need a d2 btl. so you would wire the dual 2ohm coils in parallel to get a final impedance of 1ohm....without impedance rise

why shouldnt you get this sub? well you havent been doing your homework

which means ill need special kind of wires and batteries?

UMM... just a heads up, but if my calculations are correct, there is no possible way that amp can put out more than 1500-1700rms unless it incorporates the technology from an RF T15kw. But for $339 I doubt that.

not really special....just a couple of large batteries, probably a larger alternator, upgraded wiring....just do some reading around...it takes more than a couple of post to answer these question in detail...u gotta learn on your own kinda...start reading

from the sounds of it bro, i would not get the btl quite yet... maybe a bl or an ssd. I only say this because first you will not be giving that btl nearly enough power to bring out its full potential, and it also sounds like you don't have the electrical system to run this set up. I run 1 18btl dual 1 and have to run a 250 HO alt, 3 group 34 batt, 2 runs 0/1 gauge wire, and big three done on the van . I would suggest working your way up cause that btl is nothing to mess with but if you do decide that you want to go the route of the btl, we are here to help. But just do your homework and make sure this is something your car can handle. Just my .02

Meh, even on a 16v system it would have to get struck by lightning to put out 3200rms @ 1ohm.

16v x 150amp fuse rating = 2400rms with 100% efficiency... just isn't possible.
