TeamHT Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 If money is seriously as tight as you propose OP, I don't think the BTL is the route you'd like to go. Only because no, your enclosure will not work efficiently. A great sub in a crappy box = crappy performance. Not to mention the cost of a real 2,500 watts + amp on top of the cost of electrical upgrades to provide the current for 2,500 watts and any damplifier to maintain sound control...you're in the deep end. Buying wood for the new enclosure would actually be one of the cheapest things on your list. Scratch the BTL and look for either a Q or BL if you're set on FI. AA as well.
