412 CVX
i've got a couple of 10" woofers that i'm building a box for. the box is 23" long (22.25 internally because of the back wall) and the port, which is in the middle, needs to be 28" long (3" wide), so obviously the port bends. from the rear wall of the enclosure, does the port opening need to be 1.5" wide on each side, or 3"? also, is the total port length calculated with both sides of the bend, or do they act as one length? Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. bkolfo4
If the total port width for both subs is 3", then it will be 1.5" wide on each side in the rear portion along the back wall. The 2 1.5" ports act as one length, so calculate the length based one side as if it was a single 3" wide port. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
