Guest Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 i had a 165 amp for my corolla and idle output fucking sucked balls since all they do is replace the diodes and the stator(low 12's constantly, dropped to high 11's one time with no music or lights on, would have to put it in neutral and rev engine to keep voltage up). when warm it would charge at like 13.6 and never would reach 14.4 (14.3 IN WINTER, half a volt lower than stock) as he stated the voltage regulator was set at. it took like 2 seconds for the thing to react to a load so quick bass notes like in the song Muscle Cars by e-40, would drop my voltage like a motherfucker. i switched back to my stock 70 amp and i couldnt be happier.
