I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse and i want to lower it 1.5 - 2 inches, but i don't know what to look for. I have checked eBay and it comes up with thousands of different products, pictures, and prices. Brand X looks different than brand Y but they both claim the same thing so i don't know what to do. I have OEM replacement struts and 17" aftermarket wheels.

Any quality help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Budget of $100-$150 maybe more if i have to.

Cut the springs! Lolz jk :)

My cousin is in the same boat, but he has a Toyota sedan. I've seen him looking at lowering springs and drop spindles. I wish I could've been more help :/

theres alot of factors to suspension....havent done alot of installs, but Ive done alot of research. the only thing in your price range is lowering springs. some people say 2" is the limit of how much you can lower before you need an aftermarket camber kit, or else your tires will not like you so much. Also something to look out for, depending on your shocks/struts, they might not like the lowering springs either since they are stock replacements and not made to be compressed more than your stock springs allow.

personally Im going with bilstein sport shocks cuz they are made for lowering springs and a set of Tanabe GF210s springs.

but If I were you, Id either hold out and get some shocks too, or get some good springs like Eibach, Megan racing, Tanabe, Tein, etc. none of that ebay generic shit.

but the above things I have found over time, researching the subject; so don't take it as 100% fact. every car has different equipment...hey, maybe your shocks will be fine with lowering springs. and 1.5" really isnt that much. just remember to get an alignment after they settle.

So i just measured the wheel gap i have, and i have about 2 inches from fender to tire in the back and almost 4 inches in the front. Would i be better off finding something adjustable?

both of those don't look bad. you could go adjustable but they always looked/ Ive heard there a pain in the ass.
