rattlecancustom
well i have two small kids, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. whenever i drive with the music on, i think it's too loud actually too much bass. if i turn the volume down it's hard to hear because of them or my loud ass exhaust. i was thinking of cutting the remote wire from the deck and adding a switch to it ( my own manual shut-off ), that way when i'm with them the sub- box would be off and when i'm by myself i can turn it on as loud as i want. good idea? rattlecancustom
no. the only thing the H/U has to control the bass output is a "LOUD" button, but the box is always on.

Chode69
oh ok...well just put one of those lil kill switches on the remote line and mount it somewhere in the dash but it will work fine. Guest MegaloManiac
no i have a toggle switch, exactly your idea described. i grabbed a switch from an old neon light on my computer and just cut the remote wire in half and soldered the ends to switch
