I have used a TL adn know that it is the ONLY meter used for legit events. I found some stuff online saying it was great and some also saying it was worthless. What do you think? lower tuning is just hard. PUNKYOU007 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 Its pretty good but if you have the money just get the TL. I have the SPL meter and its pretty acurate. I have found that its biggest flaws is how fast it reads. Its slow. Side by side with a TL the TL is much fast to register a score. That being said unless the note is held long enough then the SPL will not read dead on with the TL 100% of the time. I did a few tests, some vehicles it was off by .1 every time. Others it would be off by up to .5 one run... then .1 for the next run. Just depends on whats playing really. I like it most for the portability. I got the hand held version.
