Krazykid122 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 I have 2 pair of alpine type R 6x8s and I have them on a power bass 600.4x. I have the two front ones on two channels, wired at 4 ohms for 100w RMS, the back ones are wired to a pair of power bass 6x8s I had laying around, I have 2 extra 6x8 slots in the back doors There wired for a 2 ohm load, amps rated 200 RMS @ 2 ohms. This was happening before I threw the power bass ones in and its still going on, it's like once I turn them up a good bit, there loud but they sound like there kinda screaming, or roaring in your ears, it just doesn't sound to good, i don't know how to make it stop, I think it's the tuning or something, I have the power bass amp and a alpine CDA 117. Maybe I have the tuning off or to high, but at lower volumes, It sounds amazing, just around 24+ it starts to show, and there fairly new, got them all in December. Hotdog Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Alpine will start to clip around that range, that might be the problem. Check your gains too with an oscilloscope or a digital multimeter.
