jl audio 15w0v2 ported box tuned at 25 hz???

Recommended Posts

According to JLs website, the JL box page says to tune the sub box to 25 hz. doesnt that seem super low to you guys? is there more that i should know about this or any suggestions that you guys have for me before i just go design a box on torres calc and build it? Oh, and anyone know how much port area i should use? or should i just stick somewhere between 12-16sq in per cu ft?

Thanks,

Brandon

  • 8 months later...

I have 4 15 w0v2s and was going to put them in an s10 ext cab. The wall will be 11 cubic feet (W-40" H-38" D-16.5") 12.1 cubic ft. I tried to account for sub bracing and misc displacement. The port I was going to 35 hz 4" x 38" x 17" long? So I'm kinda lost as you can see here oh and this will be power by around 2000 watts rms. Please feel free to correct all or any mistakes I have made thank you!
