ok so i plan on getting some infinity kappa 6.5s comps and coaxials in my escalade i had some rockford punchs in the front door and when i removed the factory bose speakers i also removed the holder and just screwed the speakers to the door panel. now since im going to amp the new speakers should go to a junkyard(i know of one where there is another escalade) and take out the speaker holder from that or would putting it in the door panel ( just the front comps, back ones still good) be fine?

im not sure what you are asking but the proper way to do doors is to sound deaden the inside and where the speaker gets mounted side. then make a baffle out of birch NOT mdf, as mdf will soak up moisture and fall apart. you could also use a plastic mount/baffle, but birch is better... it all depends on the situation.

hes asking about the plastic piece the speaker screws into, my car and the jimmy with bose have the same thing.... like he mentioned ^^^^ u can make one but if u can get a set of used ones id go that route.
