I was wanting to find out where i would go to find parts like baskets, motors , coils, cones, etc. that i could buy and gather pieces to build my own 12" Sub woofer ??? Is there a single web-site that has these parts or can you suggest a few different sites etc. ?? Also any articles or how-to's would be great helps also. Looking for a side project that i could be working on a piecing together in times where i cant get out to the shop or something to work on in bad weather or such > Thanks !!

Ive looked at these sites and i have yet to see very many choices of different parts, only one or two different baskets and about the same on the other parts , only a few to choose from. I was looking to build something a little more personal but maybe t here arent a lot of different parts to choose from when building a sub or im just not finding them yet !!

usually custom subs surface from parts laying around to make a sub.

any reason why you want to build one?

there are tons of subs to do do what you want it to do in market now.

Well i guess one reason is my budget, i could gather the pieces easier on my 65 dollar a week budget than buying a pre-assembled sub but i would also just enjoy the process of assembling my own sub, plus the pride of running subs i built myself !!

They dont vary much man its not worth it to built your own when Dave at PSI will do it for practically free. Curtain baskets have to be used to keep structural integrity its pretty basic and universal sorry to dissapoint you.
