Robert8252 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 (edited) Trying to clamp my DC 3.5k and my brothers AQ2200. We have a Harbor Frieght DMM. Cen-Tech P37772 and a Fluke T5-1000. Out of both we can get a AC voltage reading fine. But we can not get either to show anything for AC Amperage. DMM is set to AC volts with + and - on amp + and - output. Fluke meter is set to AC amps with just the + hooked up to the amps + output. Sub is a DC XL wired at 1ohm. Are we doing something wrong or using the wrong setting? Tried the dmm for amperage and still couldn't get a reading. Any help is appreciated. I've read through ISO's thread for this and just can't get a reading. matt402 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 is the fluke a clamp meter? the clamp goes around ur + speaker wire. shouldnt be using probes for the clamp... Quote

Have to get my brother to sit in the car and rev the engine to keep voltage up since my DC 270 is being repaired I'll post those results later. So far at low 13 high 12 at 3.66ohms it's putting out 811.5 watts. Will post all my results with solid voltage in a while.
