pektel
So my amp has never had any issues. Directed d2400. I grabbed the dmm to head out to the garage to test voltage. I turn on the car, and no sound from the sub. Upon closer inspection, I see the amp is in protect mode. Wtf? What would cause this? I mean, the amp never cut out or anything while playing. It's powering a dc lvl 4 d2 wired to 1 ohm.
pektel
I disconnected speaker wires, still in protect. All the fuses look fine.
dwright27
Something is causing it to protect lol. Check fuses, remote wire for pinches, power wire for bare spots grounding out. Also, check voltage at your power terminals at the amp. Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. bassrace
Is the amp 1 ohm stable? Or maybe low voltage? pektel
So, I emptied EVERYTHING out of the trunk, so I could get into the spare tire well so I could get to the blade fuse by the battery. Took it out, looked fine. Reinstalled, and now protect mode is off, and it runs like a champ again. Wtf?

pektel
You know, one bolt on it did not feel as secure as the other. Must've been the nice new dc woofer that loosened it up lol.
