97SSBlazer Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 I built a system in a 2006 impala with SS folding rear seats with (4) dual 4 Alpine R 12's on a RF T1500bd. Its pretty loud, My question is In a 2001 Impala would 6 of the Same R's SEALED be louder on a T2500-1bdCP? What about 8 R's SEALED? on a T2500-1bdCP 3300 RMS. I might try 6 ported but its going to be difficult to squeze 10+ cubes out of my trunk.... lower tuning is just hard. The Alpine PDF has me confused, It says 1.0 - 2.0 GROSS for ported. That seems really small. Anybody have any experince with PORTED R's in smaller boxes? Like 6 12's in 6 cubes NET? IF they can go as small as 1.0 GROSS than 1.0 Net should be fine... lower tuning is just hard.
