jreese92
I'm building my enclosure this week, the 1043d can handle 600 rms, but i'm only going to run 500 (Alpine MRP-M500). Would 1.75 cubes at 35 hz be a good idea? Rev. Wrath
Alpine has a recommended enclosure for this sub. I built the ported box for mine when I had it, and it sounded great on all types of music. You can download the PDF here: http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/swr-1043d/Specs Sorry if the link doesn't work. You may have to copy and paste. zeppyrkr
I have mine in a .7 sealed box giving it 600w and to be honest I find it to be lacking, let me know how your ported box goes I plan on making one soon.
