  1. I'm Running my X-12 on 2k no problem. 2.75 ft.^3 tuned to 32.
  2. J.W. Blue is amazing. J.W Gold is also really good, and at ~$75 a bottle you really can't go wrong. My go-to is also black.
  3. This box sounds really good on ~600w. I built it for one of my SA-8s and haven't found a need to build another, as I usually do. Also, Welcome to the forum!!! EDIT: Also built the 4th box in post #26 for my other SA-8, sounds pretty good as well.
  4. I bought 2 Fosgate T1500bdcps. Fast shipping, great packaging and everything was there. A+ seller here.
  5. 4.76 is WAAAYYYY too high for woofer displacement. No way they take up 1.19 each. EDIT: I can't find exactly how much they displace each, but I'd say it's more in the .15-.20 range.
  6. I don't think I used an orange wire from the TR7 or the head unit. I DO remember there is a six pin molex connector on the back of the IXA-W404 that has I believe 2 wires coming out of it and I wired mine to that. IIRC the wire I used was the one marked REM. IN and I want to say it was white with a brown stripe or brown with a white stripe. Sorry, I hope I'm not confusing you more lol. It's been a while since I hooked it up and it's installed right now. I know this for sure, Black from the TR7 goes to Black on the vehicle adapter harness, Red on the TR7 goes to either Red or Yellow on the vehicle adapter harness (The way I understand is it doesn't matter which) EDIT because it wouldn't let me finish typing. Past that, I'd only be guessing. I just spliced the wires together exactly how the little orange (or yellow) card that came with it told me to. Did yours come with that card? I can't find mine right now, but mine was exact instructions on how to wire to an Alpine HU. Just wire it up according to that, and then hook up the power pack after that's all taken care of and you should be golden. If not, you may have a faulty TR7.
  7. Are you talking about the KTP-445 power pack? I had this same EXACT setup on my explorer. The TR7 should not wire into the power pack at all. Just the head unit. Wire up the TR7 to the head unit per the instructions without even having the power pack installed then when all wires are soldered/crimped, pull out the black plug and run the power pack in-line. Man I hope this makes sense. Lol. EDIT: Also, I don't remember hooking up that many wires on mine. I want to say it was only three wires from the TR7, but I could be wrong. its been a while. I know they come programmed for alpine head units so I hooked mine up like the instructions said.
  8. If you're planning on selling it either way, I would just leave it like it is. Someone that recones subs might want to pull the old cone out themselves. Or you can say you'll pull the old one out if they would rather have it that way.
  9. Door panels look pretty nice. And did I see you painted the wheels black?
  10. Some really nice work you did there. I especially like the aero port on the first box.
  11. It's kind of hard to tell from that pic, but it doesn't look like a Double Din will fit in there. As far as pulling it apart, you might want to invest in a repair manual. Pulling apart the interior, you will use it more than you think.
  12. My recurring dream is about the apocalypse. It's usually zombies but sometimes it's like a bad flu virus or something like that and everyone is looking to me to lead them to survival. In one I had the other night, I was working on my TV when a crack head knocks on my front door and he wants to sell me a car for $30. so, yeah I'm gonna buy a $30 car. As I was getting the money ready, a huge gang of turtles started trying to attack us. Not really sure what that means. Maybe someone can tell me?
  13. On a Colt revolver, you pretty much can't lose money. Just make sure it hasn't been refinished.
  14. Hellyeah I'd take them!!! If you can't fix the speakers that are in them, then you can replace them. If you don't wanna spend the money on them, you're ot out anything. Fi BTL N2's? Lol!!!
  15. Relyks. If you took pics of your friends cars that you worked on, you have a portfolio. Sort the pics out by install and write down what you installed and anything else you can remember that you did to the car. Put it all in a nice binder and BOOM!!! Portfolio.
  16. I would unplug the compressor just as an extra safety measure. Then zip tie or tape the electrical harness away from the belt. That would suck to burn up a brand new compressor. ...and just so you know, most vehicles run the compressor when the heater is turned to defrost just to keep the refrigerant stirred up during the winter.
  17. I tell myself I'm going to do this every time I update my resume. Just never seem to get around to it. Very funny stuff!!!
  18. Man, I used to see these all over when they first came out, but not so much anymore. I guess people are starting to store them away until the value goes up. Make sure he still has the Bullitt wheels that came on it from the factory. IMO they look better than those chrome Saleen knockoffs.
