Damn bro I dunno how I slept on this one...been missin out till now!

Them doors llok great! good job. (nice use of the easy bake oven for reals hahaha)

On the embedded wood pieces....did you use those as "reinforced mounting points" and srcew/bolt through them to mount the pods to the panel? or are they just to reinforce the back panel and help fight flex?

Also-when you're first laying the "mould" of the oem door panel, it looks like a LOT or resin compared to glass mat...am I trippin? is it just the pics? or did you skimp on the glass? it's not TOO big og a deal but I'd be sure to put a good 3-5 solid layers of mat there to avoid warping/cracking. The woven matt you have pictured...I would (and do) just cut it into pieces and lay it down...the chopp mat (bigger haphazard strands) is the stuff you wanna tear up into shreds and layup/wetout for strength.

Those "sponge brushes" also SUCK for FG resin, you really only get one application and then they just start coming apart...if you can manage to score some BRUSHES, you can use them a good 5+ times b4 they're trashed because THEY will tolerate being SOAKED in ACETONE in between uses to dissolve the resin off and go back to being nice and soft. Just FYI-in case you hate one time using stuff like I do.

Once again nice job on the doors man. Clean, original, and that angle is prolly gonna help the front staging.

Im tuned in now to see how this wall build goes.

My net is off, and charter didnt get my payment over the net last night in time so I guess i gotta goto the moms house for the pc. :(

Thanx man

The wood I used are just some paint mixing sticks laying around, just to try and reinforce the panels a bit where I bolt them on. very inexpensive, and works great :) After I did those, and was praticlly done, I seen something that coogl was using I think on the waverunner pods he is making, and I like his idea alot better, but oh well, my way will work for now. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif

I just got a thick coat of resin as my main layer in the mold, followed by some cloth mat that I cut up into about 2 by 6 inch strips and layed it down and put a nice coat of resin on top of, then I put the wooding strips in for anchoring them to the door panel, followed by another layer of fiber glass cloth and resin. They seemed pretty tough once I trimmed the excess off and wouldnt flex much at all in my hands and figured there was no need to go farther. Before I started adding the glass, I got a hand full of the mat ends mixed into the resin on my base coat too. Cell phone pics dont do the best justice, but heh, better then nothing :)

Yea those foam brushes suck the big one! but 4 for 64cents you cant go too wrong, I just stack up on them LoL

its almost 90 degrees here, hottest day this year yet, and I think im about ready to go back home and make a lil saw dust ! :)

Looks real good man! A wall huh? bout time you stepped up yo game ;)

Ive been wanting to do it for some time now, finally I just said screw it and started. I still find it hard to believe im doing this, its going to cut back on the amount of hood rats in my ride :(

Ok, got back home, and still no internet or cable tv... So I call to bitch, but the offices where closed, but the technical center was opened so they got my rant and I now got my shit back on..

I told them that you guys can go and turn off my services on a holiday, but want to make me wait until the next business day to turn my services back on after I just gave you $278 for last months and nexts month bill. Then they told me they disconnected me at the telephone pole and had to wait until a tech can go back out and reconnect.. They said that the techs are off for today to be with their family. I said well I want to keep in touch with my family and I do so by the internet. I asked them how can they be off work today but still come to the pole and disconnect me. If you want to lie to me think of a better lie then that because that is BS, and besides I went and disconnected my cable box and ran the wire straight to my tv and had free basic cable, which I wouldnt get if I was disconnected at the pole. I then heard well blah blah blah. I told them to turn it on or lose another customer.. And BINGO :D :D :D

Damn fucking douche bags I tell ya!

So yea, menards was open til 6pm today so I grabbed myself a few 2x2s for building.

Now its time to make some sawdust I think my old weedman is stopping over in a few to give me a hand or two :)

We just had a new one built with a indoor lumbar yard and what not, largest in the state I think they said, it puts our home depot to shame that was also just built a few years back. I had a buddy that use to work there, so I use to just prd things because it saved me 10%, but even without that I still shop there because they pricematch and the customer service is second to none :)

Just a few more pics.. :)

Just some wood screwed into place to give me a solid work spot to screw too. this is not the rear of the box.

Just measuring somethings before cutting for the floor

Just set in place, still got to build up underneath the bottom of the wall, but I need to make sure its level, so what better way then to cut the bottom first then start the leveling :)

Ya they wanted to deliver all the Paver stones to our house for like 80 dollars if i didnt have my diesel and my flatbed i was gonna have them do it you cant beat that kind of price and thats 21,600 lbs. For your floor have you thought about laying down 2x4s or 2x6s i did that in my car and it helps stop flex believe it or not. if you dont go this route or even if you do i would still expanding foam under the floor so it doesnt rattle i had that problem with my car

Im going to brace it up with scrap wood til I get a level working surface, not sure what wood Im going to use tho, but i got a garage full.

Thats a always a good thing to have handy if it is never even going to be seen i wouldnt even worry about using good wood for it

yea, ditto, save a few bucks here and there by using scrap.

After searching in my garage i found a bit of green treated 2x4s left over from a few years ago when I fenced in my back yard. Wood looks brand new compaired to the fence. So I wouldnt really say scrap, but just left overs :)

Still got to glue and screw the 2x2s to the little towers I made, then once tight it should be nice and level i hope.
