after adding better amp now need deadening. and my amp sounds like its going out or something haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

but i need to reinforce my rear deck it flexes way too much

My reardeck rattles too, even with deadening, I'm actually considering gluing some kind of cushion under the rear deck cover to have it rattle less

Wanna know what's worse with that, people who think sound deadening is useless, and just adds weight. Yeap, knew people exactly like that lol

i hate when people think they have a better system just because their car rattles more, when i have $150 in sound deadener just to prevent that lol

That's high schooler thinking lol. Had a friend told me that if my trunk rattles like crazy, it's a good thing. No it's not, the rattle is very annoying

I was thinking like foam instead, pillows are uneven.

It impresses me more when someone is very loud, and doesn't have trunk rattle, that means they are doing something right

right, but this same guy told me he was 150db on 2 kicker comp 10s haha, i told him hes full of shit and my 1 jl w7 is only in the low 130s and is just as loud if not louder

Here's how it really is: Build it to spec unless you know better. What the manufacturer recommends isn't gonna be worse than prefab, and if you know what will work better for your purpose why the fuck are you so upset?

Let people build what they want. If they want to remain uneducated and build it to spec, let 'em. It'll lower the average and your build will be better.

I did follow Kicker's spec when it came to the box size, but I have a little lower tuning than they want, think they reccomended 37hz. They also said run 300 rms, I'm running 900 rms lol

If you could do it again, I bet you'd build a lil bit bigger, wouldn't you. Point was, why hate people who build to spec? Now if you wanna argue against custom spec over OEM spec for a particular purpose... That's a bit different. There's not a reason to go against spec unless you know what you do differently is gonna do for your sound.

Building bigger and tuning lower doesn't work for every sub out there, either.

If I could rebuild the box again on the power I'm running, I would tune a little higher, and make the little bit smaller since my sub moves so much, the cone hits the basket. But I'm about to get a new pair of woofers to work Gonna try out a sonotube for the next box
