RockFord4lyfe
I am in the process of upgrading my audio system and i was wondering what electrical upgrades would be absolutely necessary (on a budget) Car is a Mazda Demio 2000. Stock 70 amp alt, stock batt. Audio system: Boss audio CE2004 4 channel- mids & highs- 2 x 30 amp fuse Soundstream TRA 800.2 2 channel- mids- 1 x 80 amp fuse Rockford fosgate T1000-1bd- Sub- external 150 amp fuse 300 amps maximum current draw.. This is a daily setup with maybe a few small comps/demos... Would not be used for burps.. only music. Would i be able to power everything with the big 3 and 2 runs of 1/0 (neg. and pos.) throughout and 1 D3100 up front??
carlosg_313
Bad voltage drop since your alt won't supply the demand. Get a dc power or mechman alternator. Quote How do the Japanese feel about bass? You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. They said it makes your junk shrink all up. lol.im pretty sure the op wont even notice if it gets even smaller. Loudcivic
no it wont be if you want to play it long. it will be fine for the first few minutes maybe and after that your gonna drop voltage and it wont recover if you keep it up since the amps you would be pulling is more than what your alt can put out Quote 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon... carlosg_313
Well, looking at your set up, you'll be fine for now. But recommend what I said above Quote How do the Japanese feel about bass? You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. Really running away from getting a HO alt... cost including shipping and taxes would run me about maybe $800 What if i get a 2nd stock alt? g6ryder
You have a really small stock alt but ur running a single t1000 plus ur high amps how is that 3000wrms? And an H/O alt for ur car will cost 800$ who did you call to get that quote? look at excessive amerage great prices, customer service, and great products imo. I would say you should be fine looking at ur setup its not 3k tho Quote www.wooferwarehouse.com
Loudcivic
batteries are only gonna help you so much. you are gonna get to the point were your voltage is gonna go down and it will stay down unless you turn it down. even though you add batteries you gotta keep in mind that the alt is whats keeping those batteries charged. so adding more batteries will only go so far and then you will be back to low voltage since your alt cant keep up Quote 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon... And about the 3K.. i just figured to get the total you add the rated RMS for each amplifier.. is that incorrect?
