Most cops will understand. I got pulled over once in my Cavalier that has all three back windows tinted to the point where you can't see in or out. I didn't have a system in it at the time, and just told the cop why they were tinted. She was like, "Oh, that makes sense" and didn't give me a ticket or anything.
