SkylarDunn
So, a buddy comes by yesterday, tells me his subs "aint bumpin", so i pull out his box, and get to the amp, it powers on, it looks fine, the green LED is on indication alls well in crunchville, yet, has no output, so i decided to hook it up in my grandfathers suburban and test it. This amp, is a crunch 1400.2, does maybe 700w @ 4 ohms bridged, but i had it wired to about 3 ohms before rise, i thought that would be fine, same deal hooked it up, CRUNCH light is blue as sh*t, green indicator light is on, hooked the DMM up to the terminals, no output whatsoever. any idea what i could be? uploading pics ofthe board right now. nothing looks burned, i have the skills to repair it, but i have no idea what the problem might be. any help here guys? thanks. also, he said he was driving down a gravel road, bumpin it a little, then it all of the sudden cut out. i know this guy, and he doesnt really play it loud, so i cant figure out what the problem might be. audio1der
Any cold solder joints? Does it have any interior pico fuses? Over a bumpy road if it wasn;t bolted down well it could have shaken a FET, and transformer coil or any other number of items loose. You;d need it's circuit diagrams to follow it through for continuity to really trace it.
