Mrop
this year our team won silver on national finals ! we took alot things in consider and rebuild the enclosure week before the finals. we managed to push 142,5dB (33s average) with one 15" and 800w rms. on a song that had tones between 35-56Hz also i recieved Second skin products from AAAAMMEEERIIICAAAA!!!! (lol) ok, so i am very pleased that i had the change to test these products as as far as i know we dont have retailer in europe ?! correct me if im wrong. this is like alien tech to us. products arrived in 8 days. i haven't read much about these, so i just write how these "feels" to give as authentic review as possible. all 3 diffirent kind of mats are pretty solid. all of em has aluminium (silver or black) coating and rubbery-gluey stuff on the other side, like every "good" dampenin material has. however these have morelike aluminium plate rather than aluminium foil on the other side, so they are very solid! alpha damp has the thickiest "plate" on it, it is so thick that i had a papercut from it pretty easily. however every mat were about 2-3mm thick. i tried to bend all mats into diffirent positions and found out that if you bend one mat quite heavily, it is very hard "almost" impossible to bend it crossways whitout breaking the mat, so you need to cut the mat to make it fit easier. this defect is mainly because the aluminium on top is thickier than other products. however, it only requiers abit more from the installer than regular type of a mats. personally these mats are so well made that i like more the solid feeling, rather than whine too much about the difficulties in installation. "damplifier" the weakest, thinniest mat is still pretty damn solid, i tried some STP products, and none of them could hold one cup up long enough for me to take a picture. i made this one damplifier one cup -test holding normal empty cup with one hand while searching for a camera, so even when this is the thinniest it hold the cup like nothing for a good 40seconds before i took the picture. Damplifier Pro! ONE damplifier TWO cups! Alpha Damp ONE damplifier TWO cups! so basicly due the thick aluminium these products can hold pretty well, pretty darn well. First of all, thanks Jon for sending me these products! and hope this helps someone to decide where to buy second skin or not. if you ask me, i would DEFFINETLY buy alpha damp for roof and anything larger than A4 area what needs to be dampened, and use cheaper stuff to dampen the difficult areas. www.peranurkka.net
Mrop
i just had to test this... alpha damp was the only one to hold whole 1LITRE == 1KG == 2.2LBS! www.peranurkka.net

Mrop
little updates to here: amp rack building up, shorter wires is hard to get amp rack build, ugly but loud relay fires up everything, both amps and fans. relay gets turned on by headunit, also there is a switch to turn off the smaller amp so i can use only the monoblock in competitions. that's the enclosure. 450litres, 6th order bandpass with 2x 10" ports. just missing the pipes for the ports, hopefully gettin em next week so i can start testing the enclosure. www.peranurkka.net
