6berry
what kind of noise are you getting? if it's a hissing/whizzing/whirring noise it could be from the port. not only is it small like others said, but it's SUPER thin. that's squeezing the shit out of the air coming out of there the noise i was getting was coming from the front speakers but it went away. i know the port is ridiculously small but i blew both my subs so it doesnt matter anymore now i just gotta wait til dc decides to start making subs 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth

Alex K
car looked better before the yellow theme you have going on 2006 Nissan Z Track. 6berry
car looked better before the yellow theme you have going on im not a huge fan of the blue and yellow theme but its fine for now. eventually im going to have my car repainted and have the rims painted to match ill just keep it blue and yellow for now. i got a few updates on my car. I changed the boston g5's to some kicker cvr's for temporary because one of my bostons was blown. while the subs were out i rounded the inside edge of the sub hole and the port, and added a pvc roundover to the pressure corner of the box. i also upgraded the rear ground from 1 run of 0 gauge to the chassis to 2 runs of 1/0 to the chassis in separate locations. ill get pictures of all that tomorrow also ever since ive installed this new pioneer headunit i havent been able to turn the volume all the way up without the amps shutting off. i dont know if its a problem with the relay or with the remote on the headunit but im tryng to get that fixed. any ideas on what it could be? 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
6berry
finally got some more updates! i got the old box out of the car and started building the box for 4 DC level 3 10's in a 4th order. the ratios gonna be like 2.2 cubes sealed and 5 cubes ported well heres some pictures of the start of the box and of my big 3 in knu fleks 1/0. Left side: Right side: You can see im gonna have to fiberglass those little corner areas. Looking in from the front: Ground: Alternator wire: I didnt get a pic of the engine to ground but its there. Sorry the pics are so blurry, i took them with my phone because my mom took my camera to georgia for the weekend 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
6berry
didnt get any work done on the car yesterday because i decided to go skate instead but im back to work today. got the top and front wood cut so now the outside is complete. i still need to build the inside baffles which i just started on and will hopefully finish by tomorrow. here is the front baffle looking in from the trunk here is the front baffle with the seats taken out which they will be put back in heres two separate angle of my box design I have a question about the port. should the back of it be angled so that it will be the same port length on top and bottom and the same port area? heres a random picture of my dirty rims and the big brake kit i installed not too long ago 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
6berry
baffles ready to be cut before i decided to go with a single baffle per side im going to need to fiberglass these spots on both sides and im going to glass the whole inside of the box while im at it baffles set up roughly in place no more trunk room:( still need to get the holes cut in the baffles got the hole rough cut in the rear armrest but i still need to make a trim panel of some sort. any comments, concerns, or criticisms would be great! 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
matt402
would it work a lil better mounting the subs the opposite way on each baffle? (front sub on the bottom & rear sub on top) the port would be ok, to find tuning u just need to find average length (measure in the middle of the port). 6berry
yeah im actually going to mount the subs the way youre talking about i just didnt feel like changing it on the google sketchup. and for the port i was just going to make the back of it angled so its the same length the whole down. does 2.3 sealed and 5.1 ported sound like a good ratio? im hoping to power it by around 3-3.5k 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth
