Autruche
Those dimensions confuse me. I'm not sure how it would go. Can you put up a screen shot of your box design in the calculator? Autruche
What side is the port going on? the long side or the short side? and is it going to be in the middle or on the end? And also, are the subs to be on the top or the back? I'm guessing it's a sub back - port back? Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
How many common port walls though? You didn't enter that into the calculator, that would mean it'd be an independent port, not connected to any walls. Anyway... Here you go. could be like this: Cutouts would be; 2 - 10.5 x 21 - Sides 2 - 30 x 21 - Top And Bottom 1 - 28.5 x 10.5 - Front (side without port) 1 - 26.5 x 10.5 - Back (side with port) 1 - 10.5 x 14.25 - Port wall Could be like this: 2 - 10.5 x 21 - Sides 2 - 30 x 21 - Top And Bottom 2 - 28.5 x 10.5 - Front And Back 1 - 12 x 14.25 - Top Port Wall 2 - 2 x 14.25 - Port Side Walls Hell it could be like this: 2 - 10.5 x 21 - Sides 2 - 30 x 21 - Top And Bottom 2 - 28.5 x 10.5 - Front And Back 2 - 12 x 14.25 - Top And Bottom Port Walls 2 - 2 x 14.25 - Port Side Walls Not trying to be an ass dude, but you sure didn't give me much to go off of. And I'm tired. Also, that's nowhere near enough port. I'd be shooting for 45-60 square inches. Edited June 7, 2011 by Autruche Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? TommyK
Im trying to make my box look like the first one, so how many common port walls would I type in? And if i cut the peices with the cutouts the calculator gave me wouldnt they not fit together right? If I dont have enough port area what does that mean, my sub is not getting enough air? Im trying to squeeze this box in my small trunk hah. Thanks for the feedback though i didnt think anyone was going to get a sketch that fast let alone 3 Quote 2003 rsx:Alpine CDE-102Fosgate P300-1Fosgate P1 6.5"s15" Re SRX
Autruche
You'd need to put in 3 for common port walls. As the top, the side, and the bottom of the box are being used as 3 of the walls. Giving your sub more port generally opens it up, and it will get louder and sound much cleaner. What sub is going in? If it's one sub the net volume you have seems a bit odd. Are those your max dimensions and desired tuning? I could try to whip something up for you if you want. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves?
