JustinWillmon
So my plans for my truck changed and im just gonna go ahead and do a blowthrough. Its going in a 2004 dodge ram 1500 i wanna use maybe half the bed, i can get dimensions shortly as soon as i get home. Im looking to run 4 12 in subs but not sure how to achieve that as ive only messed with sealed boxes before. Im good with woodworking though so building it shouldnt be a problem im just not to sure on what design to use. I talked to Ram_Design about getting a box designed and will probably use hime but should i be looking at ported, vented, 4th order or what? JustinWillmon
Not sure yet, i have one sundown saz-2500 and will probably got another to run with it but im still undecided on subs. I was thinking maybe DC or maybe sundown. Just something that could handle a good amount of power.
Namosh
I was pretty happy with 6th order in mine (took much more than half the bed). I'm doing a 4th order now and see how that turns out. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
JustinWillmon
Yeah im worried a 6th order might be to big as i would like to keep some of the bed if i could. How many, what size and what brand subs are you gonna run in the new box. Im about to read over your build, i wanna get started on this soon. JustinWillmon
Where are you getting these designs made? I would love to run 3 15'2 but didnt know if it would fit? I actually read your build thread last night but didnt realize it was yours until just now. You have definitely had your fair share of different boxesback there, do you have a favorite so far? Namosh
I do my own designs. The best was the first and biggest 6th order I did with two XL's run off two Soundstream 1500's. I expect this new one to be quite a bit better on the meter. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
JustinWillmon
Would you be willing to sell that design on the 4th order with the 3 15's? I wanna run something similiar to that, i was looking at the 4 12's but if i could get a design with three 15's i would wanna do that instead. How much of your bed will be used on this setup? Let me know on the design if your willing to i completely understand if you wanna keep it to yourself.
Namosh
I'm doing 4.5 cubes sealed chamber. 14 cubes ported chamber. Around 245 sq. inches of port tuned to 55hz. Box will be around 50x45x18.5 I haven't cut any wood just yet so this could change. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
