I am thinking about using Herculiner to cover my new box I just build and was wondering about how much do I need to buy to cover a 15ft^3 box?

17.5"x46"x35"

i wouldnt go off of your size of box comnpared to his, OPs box is like 16.3 cuft and your box is 10.8 cuft, his is 150% larger than your box, so if 1 can did yours, he would prolly need 2

17.5 x 46 x 35 = 28175 / 1728 = 16.3 cuft

55 x 20 x 17 = 18700 / 1728 = 10.82 cuft

Looking like 3 qts I guess :)

Figured out total sq inches of all sides and devided by the coverage of one quart which is half a 8ft truck bed..

So 2304sq inches into 6055sq inches

Just had to find the coverage but I don't know if you would lay it on same thickness as you would on a truck bed.

based on soffhands it should have taken two qts to cover his box but he did it with one so i should be able to do mine with two hopefully.

i think youd be fine, as long as its laid on even, if you run out, you can always get another quart, that way you at least dont buy too much

as far as thickness goes, i thin k that would be personal preference, id think youd want it to be covered a decent amount, but you may get the outcome you want and look without going too thick, iv e never used bedliner myself

Last box was carpet to match interior but I have heard that carpeting will cost you some DB's so I figured I would use bed liner or something that would turn out nice without carpet to squeeze out a tenth or two on the meter.

i have heard the bedliner may help with acoustics, would it function sort of like the spectrum sludge at all?

Good question and I don't know.. maybe someone that has tried can chime in on that one.
