DC & AQ

Recommended Posts

first this is NOT a VS thread I'm simply asking a question that i do not understand :noob:

I'm throwing the idea around of either getting a 3.5k from DC or AQ now my question is whats the difference of having two power and grounds on one amp but both are the same size power? as for my lanzar 6000D its the same way only 1 power and ground.

if you can fit 2 0 gauge wires in an amp as opposed to 1 0 gauge wire you'll have better current flow. its the same as increasing the wire size from 4 to 0. your just adding more 0

R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up.

to an extent...

If your amp is starving for current then that second set of inputs is going to help. If the demand for more current isnt there then you have those extra there for really no reason.

On a 3k RMS amp your right there at the cusp of what 1 set of inputs can or cant handle.

The AQ is rated at 4300@1ohm

The DC is rated at 3500@1ohm

Both might do a little more then rated but that's their 14.4v ratings

im still looking for some clamped proof of that one. hopefully we get to clamp one ourselfs here soon.

Heard many people say they've clamped atleast that from a AQ. Can't say I've seen the test. I'd test my dc 3.5 but rise won't let me do that

if your rise is close to what one of the rated ohm loads are you can kinda get an idea.

The DC does rated at 4ohm. Never see lower then 3.6 though to compare anything else.
