my mom has the old school cavalier with the 3.1L and it sounds pretty good. stock muffler that looks like a flowmaster 40 series. not the big ricer ones.

Those are the Super 40's you are refering to.  

Application Recommendations:

-High horsepower street cars

-Deep performance tone

-Reduced Interior Resonance

-Increased flow path radius

-Vehicles with dual exhaust

My catalog Recomends this for the Cavalier/Z24 84 to 2002 Part number for the super 40 is 952446

Not unless it has the FLowmaster logo and patent numbers on the seam edge. If it is stock Not a Flowmaster.

yea thats what i thought. it is stock like i said, and sounds good. its suprising especially for a little v-6

If you are looking for a less Aggressive muffler but still want that fFlowmaster sound I would recomend the 50 series DeltaFlow

The dealers are doing so much aftermarket now its hard to keep up. if they did offer a muffler up grade right off the lot it would be extra $$ and some thing you would have to ask for.

im a project engineer for a very large commercial roofing company....the wife is a manager at very large grocery store.  That pays the regular bills.....my side thing helps me get all my cool stuff and if you win a contest or 2 or 50, the company whos brand you run start hookin you up and before you know it, you have all the gear you want.

I roofed for 10yrs for this same company before i got in the office and been in here 5.  15yrs at the same company helps life get a lil easier too. :^

nope....i discovered cars, 40oz's, and chicks - no time for college. LOL to be honest its against all odds that im in the situation im in right now.
