I guess everyone should just buy jackhammers then, they're the largest. Brian aka Audiofanaticz had a pretty spot on description but I'm too lazy to look. It was a simple question made to point out you're simply looking at something and judging it simply on looks alone. As far as I'm concerned, the sub is meh and not able to truly compete with other drivers of similar class simply because of the garbage coil used. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

cc_audio Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 These subs don't like too big of box, I would keep it between 2.8-3.2 cubes. 3 cubes being the sweet spot and they like to be tuned right around their Fs ~30hertz. I only got to play with one 15.4 HCCA and it's currently sitting in a 3 cube box tuned to 30 hertz with 52.5 square inches of port. If I remember correctly the manual recommends a stupid high tuning of like 40 hertz, which I don't understand. As far as I know its still up and running perfectly on two SAZ1500 strapped with plenty of electrical, and it gets down. Still have the sketchup file too. These subs have some stupid throw once you start getting below tuning, fun sub to play with for sure. It's all gone! The Celica Build Feedback If I buy something from you, DO NOT USE FEDEX!
