soundsystemaniac
is there an efficient way that i could split the port to both sides of the magnet to tune it lower? Autruche
Yes they do yep they do...ive got one on the way! Hmm, I stand corrected. I didn't see it on their site, so I didn't think they did, then again the level 6 and level 5-Neo aren't on there yet and you can still get them. The height to width ratio does make a little difference. The more square the port is, the shorter it can be for the same tuning. To go along with this statement, the more square a port is, the more peaky the boxes response will be around it's tuning frequency. Having a flatter, wider port will yield a flatter, smoother response. Both styles can actually be used to get a flat response though, if you know how to use both tuning and port shape to your advantage. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? soundsystemaniac
Ok so is there a program I can use to 'see' the response that a box like this would make? And would it make sense to design a larger port to lower my tuning while sacrificing some air volume?
