ALpine SPR-60C

Recommended Posts

I just bought theses and installed them last night. I drove about 20 Miles last night just to listen to them they sound great. I installed them in my front doors where my Alpine SPS-600C used to be. I have the Tweeter on -2 and I powering them with a RF T1000-4. Now my front doors easily keep up with my rear deck 2 pair of Alpine SPS-600c's and the R's have a much better sound. More "mid" to them. Sound more natural instead of the S's overpowering 'High'. For 6.5's the Type R's are really doing a lot of midbass. The 2 R's have more than my 4 S 6.5's. The price is a little high at 279.99 retail. My cost was was a great price though. I'm sure they will be available on the web for a lot cheaper too. I listen to mostly rap, I really like them. They sound so good that I am pulling all the S's from the rear deck to run the R's once I have the extra money.

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.

Hey 97blaze did you install the tweeter in the stock location or place the somewhere else? Thinking about using the type s series since Im on a limited budget and this will be my first time buying comps for my car.

Used the stock location, Works well. I want to keep a stock look to the interior.
