MustangGT Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Can anyone help me. I'm having trouble with my stereo. I keep getting popping noises from my front and rear speakers. And the only way to make it stop is by turning off the stereo. What could it be. I have a 2000 mustang gt with the factory 460 sound system with a after maker JVC stereo.

My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
MustangGT Posted June 25, 2011 Author Report Posted June 25, 2011 bad ground maybe? who installed it? i installed everything myself. everything was working fine for about two weeks and like two days ago it started to do this. and i have connected a 5 volt regulater to the stereo. can this be causing it?

Would the problem be in the stereo harness cables or with the stock amps.

And I used to get a little pop when the stereo turned on.that's why I put a 5 volt regulator to elimate the pop. But now its poping really loud even on volume zero.

412 CVX Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 if you have a premium sound stystem that came with the car, often times theres compatibility issues with an after market HU. you might have to replace your stock speakers. but i'd like a more knowledgeable opinion in this thread. i know a little, but i'm not a pro by any stretch of the word Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.
