byron2817 Posted October 16, 2007 Report Share Posted October 16, 2007 well im trying to find out how muxh sqinch of port i have but this guy gave me this formula but i dont get it. of a circle is pi*r^2 i get this one SQRT(A^2 + B^2) SQRT(4^2 + 4^2) SQRT(16 + 16) SQRT(32) 5.6569... total combined diameter 5.6569 diameter or 25.13 in2 total port area for dual 4s... but what i dont get is how did he get 25.13inches. my box is going to be 5.5cube tuned@ 32hertz with 2 4". but im thinking of instead of doing 2 4" i could do 7 3",but i want to know how much sqinches of port im going to have if i do 7 3"?? andym85 Posted October 16, 2007 Report Share Posted October 16, 2007 yea, that calc is the right one for flared ports....and a 6" aero flares out to like 9.5"...so u better make sure u have the room for it first i likes me some audio stuff...
