adam6604
hey i just finished installing my 2 15" RE SX subs, on a hifonics BRZ2400.1D at 2 ohms ( 1700rms ) im running 16awg speaker wire, and 4guage power/ground at the moment. it sounds amazing compared to my kickers, but a comp is coming up next month and i WILL be installing 1/0awg power/grounds. but i was wondering how important it would be too drop 16awg to like a 10-12awg speaker wire? fmedina
The bigger the better. Get more current. You'd rather want to go larger gauge than small and risking it

252chevyboyz
Whats up man I would go with 1/0 power wire and ground wire with 8ga speaker wire if you can fit it. 10ga and maybe 12ga speaker wire should be ok. I believe OFC speaker wire is better than CCA speaker wire also. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. Also there is a link below to Knukonceptz home page which is a maker of power/speaker wire. This is where I am going to buy my wire for my Big 3 Upgrade when I can afford it. Hope this can help Knukonceptz Def might want to check this guide out. It helped me out a lot: Wire/Fuse Guide - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
