Choosing amp

When choosing an amp should i meet or go a lil greater than the rms rating or the peak rating?

Looking at 2 Obsidian Audio 15"s

those are rated at 600 rms ?

whatever your comfortable putting the subs through . like a sundown 1500 should be fine

Don't ever worry about peak rating, it's a loaf of s***. go by rms and to be honest I'd stick with brands that are known to do rated. Will price be a factor? The aq1200 would put this subs right at their rms, and you wouldn't need to do much more than a big 3 upgrade in order to run it. I'm going to say that's your best choice probably, even tho those subs at a tad underrated.

If you don't like that amp look into some other amps that do 1200-1500 watts rms sundown, dc, planet audio, hifonics brutus series, Rockford fosgate, crescendo, kicker.... The list goes on forever! Just depends on your budget and remember in most cases o it sounds too good to b true, it probably is.

P.s. Obsidian will also be releasing amps soon if your not in a big hurry i'd wait to check them out
