nickers
make sure all of your wiring is secure and connections are not loose. i beleave mechman alts make the rated power at 8000rpm (not engine rpms, but alt rpms) remember alt rpm to engine rpm is about 3:1 so that 2000 rpm is actually around 6k alt rpm and since its a special order alt maybe the pulley could be smaller than a regular alt so therefore yeilding more output. alt rpm is most likely out o the question . chevrolet all day er day. nickers
alright, was just trying to deduce the solution to your problem. maybe some extra runs to the rear bank? -just read the whole post i see you said running kca. kca is rated for 250 amps ( i also am running 0 gauge kca), you are running considerably more than that. if you do 2 runs from the alt to the batt and 2 grounds from alt and then ground alt to car you may see some increase in performance. chevrolet all day er day.
