voltage drop "problem"

hokay, my electrical consists of, a 425A mechman alt, vbcm ( set to 15.2v) 2 runs from alt to front bussbars, 2 runs of + to rear 2 runs of - to rear and 3 G31 batts ( not sure the name, but they is big)

equipment, AQ3500.1 @.5 and maybe 600rms for mids/highs

now, when im playing at a "decent" volume, like 3/4 volume i only drop maybe... .4 volts which isnt bad

now, when im playing full tilt i can drop into the mid/low 12s most times, which IMHO shouldnt happen, with that much alt. power.. i should see much voltage drop i dont think

theres no belt "dust" around alt or no squealing happening.. just not sure why it drops soooo low!

also, yes it is reved when im playing.. 2000rpm or more

make sure all of your wiring is secure and connections are not loose. i beleave mechman alts make the rated power at 8000rpm (not engine rpms, but alt rpms)

You shouldn't drop at 12 :/

Maybe more grounds or bad grounds

what brand of wire and how are you connections?

all connections are solid . then run at least 4 runs of 0 + to the rear and 2-3runs of ground from the front battery/engine ground to the rear battery

then 1 -2 more short runs of ground within a foot of the rear battery

also have you checked resting voltage at the batts?

You should have close to 0 drop with that much electrical, bad wiring somewhere would most likely be the problem.

ive went over wiring COUNTLESS times, all tight and clean. using knu kca wire resting voltage is 12.8
