Alpha Tiles (Second Skin SPL TILES) back on their site for presale!

Recommended Posts

I understand. The facts lead me to believe it will be a damn good Deadner, that's for sure :)

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

and how big is each sheet? cause 140 bucks for 20 sheets doesnt seem like a good deal at all imo

You have to remember, this shit is like 2 or 3 times bigger than damp pro. The spl tiles were meant for smaller areas and were thicker than damp pro. They were meant to fit in places like door skins and only have to do it with just a couple layers vs 7 or 8 so it's easier and faster. Jon can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this product is going for the same result. Less layers and time saved. Instead of doing 4 layers on your roof with damp pro, 1 or 2 layers of the alpha will reap te same results.

The 3/8" black foam stuff is OverKill Pro.

I need to start labeling the products don't I?

I will admit we had some confusion as well lol :)

Nope just better pics on the site... LoL cause the 2 look the same.

So which would go on first after damp pro? The lux liner pro or the over kill pro....

Chances are you will need only one layer and not even need 100% coverage to control the vibrations with Alpha damp.

Damplifier or Damplifier Pro. You always start out with a CLD.

Once the vibrations are controlled you can add MLV (such as Luxury Liner or Luxury Liner Pro) to actually block the noise.

do you cover an entire area with this or just parts of various areas.

It will probably depend on the panel. Most installs will probably not warrant 100% coverage.

Just like most any other CLD, as little as 25% of the panel needs to be covered.
