meade916
Yup, the newer like (2001 and up) finally had RCA's, back in the days Zapco had preamp crossovers and Eq's running on 14 or was it 16v? You had to eithet use their setup or buy a seperate power supply. It was more then just RCA adapter hook up! It did it all +14v gnd signal all on one cable.(talkin 90's with zap boards and all dat). It was good stuff, if u used all zapco. In time they had to figure it just hurt sales and got standard! So don't think it was some RCA adapters and u were done..... ive never hooked a "newer" one up that had RCA's.....maybe the cheaper models have them but not the c2k4.0, 9.0 or 4kw.....all symblink. meade916
is that the cheaper, more affordable models? I know that phrase doesnt apply to Zapco but i figured they had at least something that wast AS expensive. MarantzMan
i believe the dc reference series has it The DC Amps have no RCA inputs from what I could see. Their product line below that has RCA's.
Guest MegaloManiac
actually im looking at zaps website. and its the Reference line that has the rca inputs not the DC ref. basically the new version of my amp has rca, yes its the lower from zap, but quality isnt sacrificed if use the symbilink like me

MarantzMan
Yeah, I have heard how nice the eclipse sounds, but it has no DAC from reading the specs on the website, I think it was only the CD7100 that had that. On the other hand the Kenwood has a 24 bit DAC which would be nice for some crappy MP3 CD's I have. They both seem to have nice features, but people have said that the Eclipse has no pause button, can anyone confirm that?
Guest MegaloManiac
yeah no pause button
MarantzMan
Would you know off hand if the CD5100 has the pause button? If not I will probably go with the kenwood.
