TLEJ
So I've got a DMM hooked up to a 12v car battery. It's reading 12.46. When ever the bass hits, it drops around to about ~12.10.. I'm just wondering what a dead 12v battery would read?.. At first I thought it was 0.. But I have changed that thought. Is there a way to read the "charge" of the battery with a DDM? matt402
thats with the car off right? a good battery should rest at 12+ (~12.5v) if a battery is completely dead ur dmm wont really have a constant reading, it will just read & slowly drop. TLEJ
Yep a constant 12.(49)(50)(51) with nothing but the DMM hooked to it. So when it's dead, and I turn the DDM on, it will just slowly drop down to like 1? Or how does that work

High 13s are probably acceptable too. With a dead battery (or bad battery) it won't necessarily drop while the DMM is hooked up, it just won't hold a high enough charge.
