  1. 1. Should I use a triangle where the port splits?

Ok, let me see if i can find him to play with that box, or maybe find another one already built to try it out, i don´t know why it´s one sided at this time since no one have tested that triangle with a termlab, in theory yes it should be better, but on the real life you have to test everything in order to get the true facts, until i don´t see a TL score showing a improve from someone that tested that triangle , i wouldn´t call it a one side just yet , but that´s just me :pardon:

Since you can´t hear a 1 db difference for example, it´s very difficult to see if the triangle actually works, i don´t think it could give you that much of an improve so you can hear it but i might be wrong, shit you got me to it, i´m gonna find a box where i can test this thing out, my old box has a lot of resin so i can´t take the triangle out to test it right now :(

i voted yes it does help but dont make the tip of the triangle sharp we have found that it is louder with a flat top vs a sharp point at the top of the trangle

/T\ like this ignor the bottom of the T the only way i could show you with text is use a t for the top of the triangle

So you guys actually tested triangle, flat triangle, and no triangle? Was there an audible difference? Or just on the meter?

Now this is a REAL input, tell us a little bit more alpine, we all trust your tests :)

no audible differnce that i could hear but there was a gain on the meter

no triange (example numbers) did a 145 triangle with sharp point at top did a 145.4 triangle with flat top did a 145.9

it was on 2 12's that did over a 150 but cant remeber all the exact numbers so i just gave examples but the gains on the numbers are accurate

That´s awesome!!! Now it´s a one sided lol

I was actually thinking about doing just a MDF wood in there instead of the triangle, and then, roud over the tip of that wood and rounder those corners with PVC, something like this:

we have also tried that as well it did not work to well the air gos up both sides hits that tip then trys to roll over it in to the other wave of air causeing turbulance but your test might have differnt results remeber every box, every car is differnt

i have seen it many times something that would just not work in my car would do wonders in someone elses car

and here is one more tip 99.2% of the time 45's in corners hurt my scores
